Exams:
- Midterm Exam 1: October 11, Monday
- Coverage: Covers everything up until and including the
lecture on
wed Sept. 22. In the Lecture Schedule, the coverage is from the
beginning
of class until the end of the "Arith" notes. In the homeworks,
the
coverage is from homeworks 1 through 5.
- Instructions: You will have 50 minutes. You are
allowed the
textbook and one 8.5" x 11" sheet of notes, where you can use the back
and front of the sheet. You are allowed a calculator.
- Midterm Exam 2: November 24, Wed
- Coverage: Up to and including Chapter 5 reading
assignments and notes on Multicycle MIPS. Up to and including
Homework 11.
- Instructions: You will have 50 minutes. You are
allowed
- the
textbook
- two 8.5" x 11" sheets of notes, where you can use the back
and front of the sheet.
- calculator.
- Bucknell verilog handbook by Hyde (passed out in class)
- Final Exam: December 17 (friday), 12noon to 200pm, same as
lecture classroom in Watanabe Hall
- Coverage: Everything
- Instructions: You are allowed

Instructor Availability (or Unavailability):
- TBA, but it'll include any trips the instructor makes (e.g.,
conference
trips). I have a trip for the week of Oct 25-29 since I am part
of
the organizing team for a conference.

(16 page pdf file). There is an error in the 2-bit counter
and
Gray code counter examples on page 8. Their input "d" is
unnecessary.
Notice that the counters have the states "reset", "count up", "count
down",
and "hold". They never parallel "load". Therefore, the
input
"d" is unecessary. I apologize for not updating this but I can't
find the word doc version. (Remember Exam 1 is Oct 11 Monday.)
