Thesis: Motion Compensated Coding using the 2-D Gabor Transform - This project examines the effectiveness of motion compensation in a transform coder based on the Gabor transform. Of particular interest is performance at very low bit rates (in the range of 10kbits/sec). Effective encoding of color information, particularly at very low bit rates, is also examined.
