Thesis: Successive Still Image Transmission Based on Focus of Attention - This research investigates the use of knowledge of the human visual system, particularly concerning focus of attention, to implement a still image transmission scheme. The focus of attention is predicted using feature identification. Features that are known to be significant to the focus of attention are weighted and ranked. This ranking determines the spatial distribution of resolution during successive transmission of the image.
