Requirements
- Each team will make three presentations and one design
review meeting over the semester:
- A 10 minute proposal presentation near the beginning of the semester
- A 15 minute preliminary design review presentation in mid-semester
- A 45 minute critical design review meeting with me
- A 30 minute final presentation at the end of the semester
Each team will submit their ppt file for each of the presentations
on Laulima
two days in advance of the presentation.
The presentations will be run "conference" style, and due to the large number
of teams,there will be two or three sessions on the presentation dates.
Each team will present in, and is expected to attend,
one of these sessions. A schedule will be posted for each presentation.
- Each team will sign up for a 45 minute time slot for the
critical design review meeting later in the semester.
- Each team will maintain a design notebook.
- Each team will maintain a weekly Blog
on Laulima
to document their design.
- Each team will submit a
written project report
at the end of the semester
in electronic form. For EE 296 and 396 students, this
report is due on 3 May 13. For EE 496 students, the first draft of this
report is due on 22 Mar to allow time for feedback and revision for W credit.
Meetings
Our first, brief, orientation meeting will be held on Monday 14 Jan 2013
at 3:30 pm in POST 214 for
introductions and discussion of the requirements. The meeting times for
the remaining presentations, demos and meetings are tentively scheduled

Tutorial 1 - Sensors and Power Circuits
- Saturday, 26 Jan 2013 in Holmes 408A.
The hands-on tutorials will be done in two sessions based on your Design
Group. See the schedule on the Schedules page. The morning session
will be form 10am to 12 noon. The afternoon session will be from
1-3 pm.
