EE x96 Proposal Presentations
Saturday, 3 Feb 2007
Donald Kim Lab, POST 214
In the first presenation, each team will present the proposal for their
project this semester. The talk should include the following
(in whatever order you prefer):
- Introduction of the team, including roles of each member,
- Overview of the project,
- General discussion of your approach,
- What potential problems you forsee for the semester,
- What your team expects to learn this semester,
- You deliverable goals for the semester (i.e. what your project will DO
at the end of the semester),
- A proposed schedule (ala Gantt chart)
for completing your project by the end of the semester.
Include a list of major tasks to be completed with
start date and finish date. For each major task
list specific sub-tasks with start date, finish date, dependencies
and responsible team member.
(a copy of your schedule, with progress updates would be a good thing
to post on your project web site, as well).
All presentations will last 10 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions and
between talks.
Because there are so many teams/projects, the presentations will be held
in three sessions. To schedule teams to sessions, I have assigned
each team to one of 6 Design Groups. The schedule on the course
web site shows the assignment of Design
Groups and their assignment to sessions.
Teams may give preferences for their order
in the session by ONE WEEK before the presentation,
and I will try to schedule as close to that as possible.
The entire team is expected to attend for the entire session in which
they will present. Everyone is welcome to attend all sessions if
desired.
Each team should send me the powerpoint file for their presentation
by 5 PM on Thursday, 1 Feb. I will archive these and include a link
to the files in the schedule below.
