LogicWorks for EE 260
EE 260 LogicWorks Libraries
The following are libraries for LogicWorks
- EE 260 Logic Library which contain
logic (math) symbols. This can be used to construct logic diagrams.
Remember that logic diagrams are mathematical expressions. In fact,
they are just a graphical method of writing boolean expressions.
- EE 260 Circuit Library which contain
mixed logic symbols for circuits. This can be used to create
circuit diagrams. Remember that these diagrams are real
circuits, that can be built and their voltages measured.
To upload the libraries from LogicWorks 4, just right click the
mouse over the parts palette.
Holmes 387
The Department of Electrical Engineering has a computer lab in
Holmes 387. It has a number of PCs and Macs and all should have
Logicworks 4.
Here are some notes to avoid problems:
- When you turn on a PC, the PC may ask you to login. For "user"
type
"nobody". The password is nothing, literally. Don't type in anything
for the password and then press the Enter key.
- LogicWorks 4 can be found on the EE PC Server. If you can't
find the EE PC Server on the desk top then look for Network
Neighborhood
first. Then you should see EE PC Server. Then go to Drive K,
and then find the Logicworks 4.0 folder. There you will find
the folders "lib" and "program". Logicworks 4.0 is in the "program"
folder. The EE 260 Logic and Circuit Libraries can be found
in the "lib" folder. Make sure that you have a floppy or zip disk
available. Sometimes the PC will not allow you to store anything
on it. You can store all your stuff (circuits and libraries) on
your own disks.
