JANE is actually built around the chassis of Tin Man, a Micromouse from last
year that did not make it to competition. Since
Byron Wolfe worked so hard on making
the chassis so nice, we decided to re-use it.
JANE's sensor board, however, is all-new, and made with UH pride by Mike Tamamoto and me (Aaron Ohta). Hopefully our sensor
configuration works well; rebuilding it would definitely suck.
JANE's tracking code is the result of hard work by Justin (our software guru) and Byron (our software guru-in-training). Justin is also hard at work at a brand-new solving algorithm. We have total confidence that it will work better than Junior Boy's "advanced" solving algorithm.
