Akasaka Restaurant $$$
1646B Kona Street (next to the Ala Moana Hotel); (808) 942-4466.
Highly recommended by my cousin. Haven't had the chance to stop in yet
but I've heard that the food is excellent. Considering this as the
second best place to eat sushi on Oahu

California Rock-N-Roll Sushi $$
Ward Ave (next to Dixie Grill)
(where we went for) Your birthday...WE WILL WE WILL ROCK YOU...definitely a
place to see KHNL crew and (other)celebs...while sushi chefs pound
clappers on the bar (and sing a bunch of songs off the ESPN Rock
and Jock album)...platters, and rolls. there were some very inventive
dishes. also other meal type dishes, suited for sharing.

Catch of the Day $
Oahu Islandwide
Cheap sushi in a hurry. Sushi floats around on boats in a waterway. You
pay by the plate. Items are fairly bland and will not please a sushi
lovers palate. Would not consider eating here for sushi.

Genki Sushi $ - $$
Oahu Islandwide
Cheap sushi in a hurry. Sushi comes to you on a rotating metal belt. You
pay by the plate. Most locations are very busy during dinner. Some of
the items are fairly imaginative. Many people recommend the spicy ahi
poke sushi. One of the better inexspensive sushi places on the island.

Pagoda Floating Restaurant and Sushi Bar $$ - $$$
1525 Rycroft Street; (808) 941-6611.
Eaten here a few times. Sushi bar is separate from the buffet. Lunch is
a good bet if Sushi Master Troy Teruya is working. Tried some very
interesting natto combinations from him.

Great sushi at very affordable prices. Sushi is served on a sushi

Sushi King $$$
2700 S King Street (near University); (808) 947-2836
Very Japanese style of sushi bar and restaurant. Food is good and prices
are just above moderate. A walk in is possible but the restaurant is
usually crowded at dinner and in the late evenings. Probably the number
four place in my book

celebrities. Reservations are needed and there is valet parking only.
