The UH CubeSat project is a student project, with the goal of designing, fabricating, and testing a cubic picosatellite, measuring only 10 cm on each side.  This satellite is scheduled to launch in March of 2004.

Perhaps one of this project’s most exciting features is that it will be an almost entirely undergraduate effort.  While this will place high levels of responsibility and hard work on the students involved, as they seek to accomplish tasks usually reserved for graduate students, its educational value will be tremendous.  Alongside a capable team of professors, the students will gain the rare opportunity of working in the exciting and innovative field of small satellites.
