Yingfei Dong
received his B.S degree and MS degree in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology in 1989 and 1992, respectively, his doctor degree in engineering from Tsinghua University in 1995, his PhD degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Minnesota in 2003.

He joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering the College of Engineering at University of Hawaii as an assistant professor in August, 2003.

His main research interests are in the areas of computer and networking security and privacy, computer networks, Internet services and distributed systems.

Current research areas: computer and network security and privacy, including anonymous communications and data sharing, security and privacy in cloud systems and applications, unmanned aerial system (UAS/UAV) security, IoT security, real-time networks and security, smart grid security, and other security and privacy issues in distributed systems. Past research projects were on Quality of Service, multimedia streaming and content distribution, cable broadband networks, etc.
